Monica Trasandes
Monica Trasandes was born in Uruguay, but grew up in California. She earned a B.A. in International Relations from U.C. Santa Barbara and an MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College. In her 11 years at GLAAD, she has worked with countless media outlets in the United States and abroad. Monica has worked as a reporter and as a magazine editor and is also a playwright and author whose novel, “Broken Like This,” was published in 2012 by Thomas Dunne Books/St. Martin’s.
