Thomas Bennett
Thomas Bennett is a military veteran with over 22 years of communications experience. Currently, he is Senior Vice President at FleishmanHillard. In his role, he helps to lead and build the profile of the agency’s global health equity offering.
Additionally, he acts as a senior, strategic counselor for clients in all areas of health equity and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I).
Bennett began his career working in professional sports with the San Francisco 49ers and the
Memphis Grizzlies. Prior to FleishmanHillard, he spent over 14 years working for multiple companies and organizations in the healthcare industry spanning the health and wellness, hospital and health system, and health tech sectors.
In
November 2023, he was named to the Class of 2023 for the PRWeek Health Influencer 30 list. This recognition “comprises some of the most prominent players influencing healthcare and pharma PR. It includes client-side communicators, healthcare
executives at the major PR firms, nonprofits, government and specialist health agency leaders.”
Bennett has served on multiple boards throughout his career. Most notably, as a member of PRSA since 2017, he has volunteered on multiple
committees and within the PRSA Dallas Chapter. He began as a member of the PRSA Board in 2023, and also sits on the board of the PRSA Foundation.
He is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, graduated from Fisk University, received
his MBA from Belhaven University, and is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. (Alpha Delta Chapter).
