PepsiCo Funds DE&I Membership Dues Scholarship

In recognition of PRSA’s 75th anniversary, PepsiCo is helping advance DE&I in the communications profession with a new scholarship fund.
This year, PepsiCo is underwriting dues — either for PRSSA or PRSA first-year membership — for 350 students from underrepresented communities who just graduated or will in the spring. Also, PepsiCo and the PRSA College of Fellows have created a monthly program to help the students advance in their communications careers.
Following a student orientation on Jan. 27, PepsiCo and the College of Fellows will offer these workshops:
• Brand communications around the Super Bowl: A behind-the-scenes discussion with communications professionals supporting some of the most visible brands.
• Agency vs. corporate careers: Communicators will provide an overview of working in the agency and corporate environment.
• Capability building for the future: Beyond traditional media relations, students and new pros will understand the role of content creation, influencer engagement and analytics for brands and corporations.
• The importance of local community visibility on a global reputation: Attendees will learn about approaches to local community involvement and activations that build a positive national or international reputation to enable business success.
