PRSA Appoints Chris Kuechenmeister and Chuck Wallington, Ph.D., as Senior Counsel to 2022 Board of Directors

NEW YORK, January 31, 2022 – PRSA, the nation’s leading professional organization serving the communications community, has named Chris Kuechenmeister and Chuck Wallington, Ph.D., as Senior Counsel to the 2022 Board of Directors. The announcement was made by Dr. Felicia Blow, APR, 2022 PRSA Chair.
Kuechenmeister is a Senior Vice President of Communications at PepsiCo and Dr. Wallington serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Cone Health. Senior Counsel is a nonvoting position and for a term of one year.

In his role at PepsiCo, Kuechenmeister is responsible for leading brand communications, reputation management and employee engagement for the company’s North America beverage business – PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA). As a member of PBNA’s executive committee, he oversees internal and external communications across customers, employees, the media and other key stakeholders. Prior to his current role, Kuechenmeister held multiple positions within the organization that promoted the company’s food, beverage and nutrition portfolios, including PepsiCo’s collection of snack brands.
During his career, Kuechenmeister has served in various leadership positions on both the corporate and agency sides of the business, including roles with Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Citizen Relations and Michelin North America. Kuechenmeister holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
Wallington was promoted to Chief Marketing & Communications Officer of Cone Health. in 2019. Since joining the organization in 2011, he has built an award-winning team of professionals focused on providing strategic marketing and communications support for the organization’s business goals.
Prior to joining Cone Health, he was a Vice President of Communications at American Express for 15 years. Before his time at American Express, for 11 years Wallington held a variety of public relations roles with Nabisco and the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Wallington earned a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from North Carolina A&T State University. He holds a master’s degree in communications management from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
