PRSA Honored with ASAE Power of Association Silver Award
Jul. 22, 2024
PRSA has been honored with a 2024 Power of Association Silver Award for Promise & Pitfalls: The Ethical Use of AI for Public Relations Practitioners. Announced today by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), this Power of Association Award recognizes PRSA for its work to advance industry standards.
Promise & Pitfalls is an extensive framework that follows PRSA’s Code of Ethics, and provides best practices for preventing and managing potential ethical challenges that may arise from the improper use of AI tools. PRSA’s Board of Ethics and Professional Standards (BEPS) authored the report following extensive research, expert input and peer review.
“We thank the many members of BEPS who contributed to this important initiative and are helping lead the conversation on the ethical use of AI,” said Joseph Abreu, APR, CPRC, 2024 PRSA Chair. “Being recognized by ASAE with this prestigious industry honor is incredibly gratifying and an endorsement of the advocacy being done by PRSA to benefit the communications profession.”
