Amy Atwood is a communications leader with nearly 25 years of experience in all facets of corporate communications - as well as experience as a cancer patient and a caregiver. Having personally seen the importance of timely, clear, accurate information for all stakeholders, Amy believes you can empower people to take ownership of their health through relevant, transparent communications. That's what drives her.
As the Head of Communications for Takeda's Vaccine Business Unit, Amy develops, oversees and executes internal and external communication strategies and operations for Takeda's vaccine business. She's held communications and leadership roles with Takeda Oncology, Sanofi Oncology, Genzyme and National Grid. Amy is currently on the Executive Committee for PRSA Health Academy, a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association, as well as co-lead of Takeda's Global Gender Parity Network. She also is on the Board of Directors for the West End House Boys and Girls Club, on the Council of Champions for Life Science Cares and an avid volunteer for numerous charitable organizations.
