Jason Gewirtz
Jason Gewirtz is the editor and publisher of SportsTravel, a trade magazine owned by Northstar Travel Group that covers the sports-event industry and organizes the annual TEAMS Conference & Expo. Gewirtz joined SportsTravel as managing editor in 2008. He is a veteran newspaper journalist who worked from 2000 to 2008 as a city hall reporter and executive city editor for the Long Beach (California) Press-Telegram. He previously worked as a reporter for the Daily Camera in Boulder, Colorado, and the Broomfield Enterprise in Broomfield, Colorado. He is a former member of the board of directors for the National Association of Sports Commissions. Gewirtz graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has won numerous awards as both a writer and editor.
