Heather Henley
Heather Henley is a native of Mulkeytown, Illinois, and holds a bachelor of fine arts in communication design from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Her career started in the Daily Egyptian newsroom as a student journalist and continued to copy editing and page design roles at The Southern Illinoisan and other community newspapers. In 2012, she joined the staff of the Savannah Morning News in Savannah, Georgia, where she worked in various editorial positions, including entertainment and features editor and ultimately, daily content editor. In 2019, she joined Augusta University as director of news and information, where she leads a communications and media relations team to share the stories of the university and its role as the state's academic medical center.
