Mandi Kane, APR
Mandi Kane, APR is a senior managing advisor at Jarrard Phillips Cate & Hancock, a strategic communications consulting firm for healthcare providers based in Nashville, Tennessee. In her current role, Mandi provides communications counsel to hospitals and health systems on high stakes communications issues that include crisis situations, M&A transactions, and labor issues. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mandi provided counsel to clients throughout the United States ranging from community hospitals and sole community providers to multibillion dollar national healthcare systems. Prior to joining the Jarrard in 2018, she was the media relations director for the Nevada-based agency, MassMedia Health, where she led the agency's award-winning public relations team.
An Accredited Public Relations (APR) practitioner, Mandi has practiced healthcare communication for 14 years. She is a past president of PRSA chapters in two states, and currently chairs the Young Professionals committee for PRSA Nashville. She has guest lectured at the University of New Mexico and West Virginia University, and has contributed to Strategies and Tactics as a member of PRSA's Counselors Academy.
Mandi has been recognized by New Mexico Business Weekly as a 40 Under 40 Honoree and was named a Woman of Influence by Albuquerque Business First. Her PR work has been honored by multiple PRSA chapters and the National Federation of Press Women. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Journalism at the Graduate School at The University of Alabama where she is studying how the COVID-19 pandemic changed the media landscape.
