Lisa Paulin, PhD
Dr. Paulin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mass Communication at North Carolina Central University. Her research interests include Latinos & media, qualitative research, critical discourse analysis, issues of cultural citizenship, and community journalism for empowerment. Her research focuses on understanding the traditional and changing roles of media in Latinos' lives, how people use media (television, news, print media, internet, and social media) and how these media inform Latinos' decision making and information about the world around them.
