Marina Renneke, APR
Marina Renneke, APR has more than 20 years of experience in PR, community relations and event management. A Corporate Communications Director for Blue Yonder, a leading supply chain company, Marina leads the company’s global media relations and public relations initiatives, including guiding international marketing teams on PR efforts, overseeing the awards submissions program, and managing industry research campaigns. Marina successfully launched and manages the company’s LinkedIn Live program that goes live twice a week and features industry insights, customer success stories, thought leadership, and more.
Prior to joining Blue Yonder, Marina worked for Humana, a leading health insurance company, managing the company’s media relations and communications initiatives in the 12-state West Region. She also led strategic communications efforts for Humana Pharmacy, one of the busiest and most complex business units within Humana. Marina’s work experience also includes city government, aviation, manufacturing, tourism, restaurants, and video gaming.
She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and previously sat on the Executive Committee of the PRSA Health Academy, which helps shape the direction of health care public relations. In 2020, she served as the Chair leading an 18-member Executive Committee to quickly shift professional development programming to meet member needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. As 2019 and 2018 Health Academy Conference Chair, she successfully planned two back-to-back conferences including securing big-name speakers, staying within the $130,000 budget, and garnering 100% satisfaction rating from attendees via post-event surveys. Prior to that, she served on the board for the PRSA Phoenix chapter in various roles, including chapter President in 2014.
Marina has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies from San Jose State University, and she is Accredited in Public Relations (APR). She lives in Phoenix with her husband and their cats, Dash and Rocki. She enjoys traveling and has been to 15 countries, some more than once.
