Tracy Schario, APR, Fellow PRSA, is the first external communications leader at MITRE, a not-for-profit technology company. She manages the corporate reputation research program and directs a multi-disciplinary team of PR and content strategists. She is a change agent with a record of helping transform and strengthen brands through PR, marketing and advocacy strategies. She has used primary research as a central component of reputation management and risk mitigation at MITRE and The George Washington University, as well as engaged in public opinion polling for thought leadership at MITRE, GWU and The Pew Charitable Trusts.

Schario is a creative, people leader accustomed to working in fast-paced environments. She applies lessons from success and failures – on the job, on the water, or in the kitchen – for continuous learning.
