Roger Stephenson, APR, has 30 years of experience working with leaders in the business, government and nonprofit sectors on stakeholder relations, coalition building, grassroots organizing and public affairs. In public service, he served as a special assistant to the Secretary of the Interior and later in the White House Council on Environmental Quality. At UCS he works with analysts and scientists, and with UCS supporters and community leaders, to advance clean energy policy and expand communities’ work toward resilient futures.

He has worked with hundreds of community leaders to inform the public debate on climate and energy through speeches, op-eds and contributing articles. In 2011, he co-authored “Strategies to Accelerate Climate and Energy Action at the Local Level.”
