Stephanie Sonnenfeld Stinn, APR

Stephanie Sonnenfeld Stinn, APR, is a strategic communications leader driving the success of Lockheed Martin’s Air Mobility & Maritime Missions (AMMM) line of business, which includes the iconic C-130 Hercules, C-5 Galaxy and P-3 Orion programs. With over a decade of experience at Lockheed Martin, Stephanie excels at managing a broad spectrum of communications efforts, from strategic planning to crisis management, executive support to employee engagement, and everything in between. She has been a key player in shaping messaging, media relations, social media, branding and more for AMMM programs since 2013.
Stephanie’s Lockheed Martin journey began in 2008, where she supported the C-130 Program communications team. Since then, she has contributed to the success of major programs like the P-3 Orion, F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II and employee communications initiatives.
Before joining Lockheed Martin, Stephanie worked for Kaiser Permanente’s Georgia Region, overseeing messaging for The Southeast Permanente Medical Group and managing media relations for Wellstar Health System, one of Georgia’s largest healthcare providers. She also served as a marketing manager and associate editor at Emory University in Atlanta. Stephanie’s career roots trace back to the newsroom, where she covered business and healthcare for the Marietta Daily Journal (MDJ) in her hometown of Marietta, Georgia. Her reporting earned her two Associated Press writing awards for feature and news coverage, and her freelance work included contributions to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, Associated Press, Charlotte Observer, Atlanta Business Chronicle and Time Magazine.
An avid supporter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Stephanie has served as a board member for the Georgia Chapter, earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2009, and continues to support the APR program at both local and national levels. She has been a mentor, panel reviewer, and instructor for the Georgia Chapter’s nationally recognized APR prep program and has volunteered on various awards committees.
Stephanie is a proud second-generation Gamecock, earning her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina. She later earned her master’s in Strategic Communications from Johns Hopkins University, focusing her research on the impact of modern technology on traditional news reporting.
A Georgia native, Stephanie lives in the Atlanta area with her husband John, son Jack and their dog Sebastian. She enjoys spending her time cheering on her son as he plays football and lacrosse — while still working on mastering the rules of the latter.
