Marketing Intern -- Content Development
SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a dynamic, creative Marketing Intern to support content development for our national marketing team but be based out of our Broomfield, CO office. The individual selected for this internship must have strong writing and research skills and be able to communicate technical content accessibly. The individual must be a fast learner, and have a passion for environmental services and sustainability.
This internship will occur during summer 2025 (approximately June 2–August 15). Earlier start dates or later end dates will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are encouraged.
This is a paid, 40-hour per week internship. An intern based in Denver, CO will be paid $18.90 per hour. The position can be fully office based or be hybrid (come into the office 2-3 days per week).

What you will accomplish
- Gain experience working in a professional environment supporting seasoned corporate communications professionals and leaders in the environmental consulting industry
- Conduct research and write content for project descriptions and articles
- Conduct research, interview SWCA staff, and then write a technical blog
- Interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in environmental, archaeological, planning, engineering and related fields and then write technical articles for SWCA’s internal and external web pages
- Help formatting in Sharepoint
- Gain exposure to communications strategies
Experience and qualifications for success
- Major in Journalism (preferred), Communications, English, Sustainability with an emphasis on communications, or a related field.
- Current enrollment in a community college, college, or university, pursuing a certificate of proficiency, Associates degree, or a Bachelor’s degree. Individuals who completed a bachelor’s degree within 12 months of May 1, 2024, will also be considered.
- Applicants that are pursuing a master’s degree will also be considered. Ph.D. candidates are not eligible through this program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Organization and time management skills
