Media Relations Intern (Spring)

Purpose
AKCG is seeking an enthusiastic, professional and forward-thinking students to join its media relations team from January 21, 2025 – May 9, 2025. You will work directly with the AKCG team to support clients through a number of efforts, including conducting research to inform projects, drafting news releases, media alerts and articles, helping curate media lists, and pitching media.
This internship will be conducted in person. Our office is located in Glassboro, New Jersey.

Position Requirements
- A rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field
- Superior command of grammar and AP style
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Flexibility to shift between numerous accounts, projects and efforts throughout the day
- Collaborative spirit and comfortable working in a team environment
- Ability to work in person in AKCG’s Glassboro office two or three days per week
Duration
Weekly schedule will accommodate school schedules. Applicants should have availability for 15 hours per week over a 15-week period (January – May 2025).
Compensation
Internship employment with AKCG is temporary, beginning on or about January 21, 2025 and ending on or about May 9, 2025. AKCG will compensate interns at an hourly rate of $15.49 per hour. Interns are not entitled to and will not receive employee benefits (such as paid time off, access to health insurance reimbursements, etc.).
