Counting Down to a Revamped PRSA Website

Watch for a newly redesigned prsa.org coming this fall.

We’ve been busy working behind the scenes upgrading our CMS and tech platforms to create a site that aligns with our business goals and showcases PRSA and all of our offerings and programs.

Redesigned with the help of extensive member input, the new site is clean, modern and presents information in fresh and easily accessible ways. The home page delivers a highly visual story of PRSA’s mission and key values — our members!

What benefits does the redesign offer you? First, the new site architecture makes it easier to find news, information and learning resources, as well as other PRSA members. Streamlined navigation categories and submenus are now more logical, context-specific and interconnected.

We are excited about this great new public face of PRSA, and we hope that you will share in our enthusiasm when the site is formally unveiled this fall.

Launching the First Student Chapter in Puerto Rico

PRSSA has granted a charter to Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, one of the oldest, largest and most respected universities in Puerto Rico.

This charter creates PRSSA’s first Puerto Rico-based Chapter, a significant step in the organization’s continuing mission to build a robust, widespread network of students at institutions of higher learning.

“This is a thrilling and important new step for PRSSA because it allows us to engage students in Puerto Rico in a way we never have before,” said Jeneen Garcia, PRSSA’s executive director. “We are looking forward to working closely with the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón as they join the organization.”

University officials said that they are honored to receive the PRSSA charter to establish the Sagrado Chapter. “This is another milestone for our University in our efforts to provide students with practical experiences, networking and mentorship opportunities with industry professionals,” said Dr. Gabriel Paizy, director, Ferré Rangel School of Communication.

Founded in 1880 as an elementary school dedicated to the education of women by the religious order of the Catholic Church known as “Religiosas del Sagrado Corazón,” Universidad del Sagrado Corazón is now one of Puerto Rico’s most prestigious private and nonprofit universities.

The Sagrado Chapter will be supported by PRSA Georgia, which will help foster student and professional connections by providing speakers, networking opportunities, career mentoring and other opportunities.

Welcoming Group Members

During the summer, PRSA’s group memberships continued to grow with the signing of several organizations: Intermountain Healthcare, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, Oncor Energy and Saatchi & Saatchi.

Group Membership is a great way to demonstrate the value of professional development within your organization. Teams of five or more members never pay an initiation fee and receive access to all of PRSA’s offerings at a reduced rate.
