About the Rewards of Mentoring
By Valerie Wolford, APR, MBA
September 2022
Like many of us, I started assessing my career during the great closure of 2020.
What brought me joy? What felt like drudgery? What was I missing? So, I started journaling the good and bad and reflecting on why. I found out that I need to write daily and interact with others to collaborate on creative ideas!
To my surprise, I realized that teaching others brought me great joy. Whether I am presenting an idea to a co-worker, educating our community in a public forum or working one-on-one with another colleague, I am happiest when educating and inspiring.
