PRSA Announces 2025 Anvil Awards Finalists; Board Nominations Open

PRSA has announced the finalists for the 2025 Silver and Bronze Anvil Awards.

PRSA received an impressive 754 submissions across numerous categories, highlighting the profession’s ingenuity and commitment to outstanding communication. After a rigorous peer-review process, 158 finalists have been selected, representing some of the most impactful campaigns of the past year.

This year, the Coca-Cola Company, Grubhub, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the University of San Diego, the Whitney Museum of American Art , and Ally Financial are among the recognized organizations, along with agencies Weber Shandwick, Golin, The Grossman Group, and Burson.

The judging panel of industry experts, C-suite executives, and leading academics assessed submissions based on strategic execution, creativity, and measurable impact. 

PRSA will announce the winners at the 2025 Anvil Awards Ceremony, which will be held on May 15 at the Edison Ballroom in New York City.

Nomination Process for the 2026 Board Commences

The application process is underway — as of March 18 — for the 2026 Board of Directors. 

PRSA seeks candidates to fill three officer positions, five district director positions and one director-at-large position.

Officer (one-year term)

  • Chair-elect
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary

Director (two-year term)

  • Midwest District Director
  • North Pacific District Director
  • Southeast District Director
  • Southwest District Director
  • Sunshine District Director
  • Director-At-Large

The duties and responsibilities of board members include providing fiscal oversight, helping guide and oversee PRSA’s strategic vision and goals, enhancing membership growth, and serving as representatives of the organization.

PRSSA Names 2025-2026 President, National Professional Adviser

During its Leadership Assembly on March 7 in Charlotte, N.C., PRSSA announced its 2025-2026 National Committee. Alicia Caracciolo, a junior at the University of South Carolina, was elected as national president. 

In addition, Gemma Puglisi was elected to a two-year term (2025-2027) as the National Faculty Adviser. Outgoing Adviser Ken Hagihara, APR, Fellow PRSA, will complete his term on May 31, with Puglisi starting her role on June 1.

Save the Date for Member Mondays

PRSA and its 2025 chair, Ray Day, APR, launched a new outreach initiative called Member Mondays this year. These open forum conversations facilitate more direct outreach and information sharing. 

The second Monday of every month is for both PRSA members and nonmembers. It focuses on a topic of interest to the profession and features advice and data from industry leaders. 

The fourth Monday of every month is for PRSA leaders (Chapters, Districts and Sections), focusing on best-practice sharing and progress on PRSA’s Strategic Plan.
