PRSA Member Exclusive: Ben Finzel on Key Insights for PR Executives and New Pros

The June edition of Strategies & Tactics Live on LinkedIn focused on Pride Month with guest Ben Finzel, president of RENEWPR in Washington, D.C.

This year saw a more subdued Pride Month, with companies and organizations “not being as welcoming or as embracing of [the LGBTQ+ community] as maybe they were in years past,” he said.

“It feels like we were overlooked,” said Finzel, a member of the executive committee of PRSA’s Counselors Academy. Finzel also addressed the topic in a PRsay post in June titled "Pride Month in a Year of Loathing: Allies Needed."

After the session, in this video exclusively for PRSA members, Finzel discussed what he thinks is a pressing issue for comms executives and imparted advice for new pros and recent graduates just starting in the PR profession.
