Solar Power: How a Media Plan Eclipsed Expectations

This past April, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock was in the path of totality for the Great North American Eclipse. Knowing this would be a once-in-a-generation opportunity, UA Little Rock planned an eclipse event for the community. As an access-focused institution, this was a way to provide a safe way for community members to experience the eclipse.
The university began preparing for the event in 2023. As a result of the early work, the university MarComm team determined that the school’s experts could be engaged as go-to resources for “all things eclipse,” with the potential to garner state, regional and national recognition for the university.
