For many PR professionals in high-stakes positions, the thought feels impossible. Communicators require constant adaptability, risk management and rapid response. Yet, we often sacrifice more than we realize by refusing to step back. Whether we justify it as a rite of passage or a necessary evil to keep operations running smoothly, it’s easy to fall into the trap of never truly stepping away because we think our team can’t operate without us.
