APR Virtual Boot Camp
November 6 – 8, 2024
The APR Boot Camp is a three-day intensive course for candidates to prepare for and be Advanced through the Panel Presentation™, and take the Examination for Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) or Accreditation in Public Relations + Military Communication (APR+M). This course is designed to provide a setting that will meet the needs of busy professionals whose schedules don’t permit extensive preparation time.
Note: This course is not for those just beginning their APR journey.
Candidate prerequisites:
- For APR, candidate must be a member of PRSA and/or a Universal Accreditation Board participating organization.
- For APR+M, candidates must be either (1) military personnel (active or reserve) or DoD civilian employees whose primary responsibilities lie in military communication-related fields or (2) DOD military contractors, who are members of a UAB participating organization and whose primary responsibilities lie in military communication-related fields.
- Approved APR/APR+M application and the Examination fee of $385 received by PRSA National by the registration deadline. Please note that the APR examination fee is a separate fee from the seminar registration fee.
- Seminar registration payment must be received by the registration deadline (required in advance to clear online examination authorization).
- Download and complete the APR Panel Presentation Questionnaire or APR+M Panel Presentation Questionnaire. Email your answers to accred@prsa.org by the registration deadline. Your questionnaire will be provided to the Panel Presentation panelists for familiarization of your background and expertise in the public relations profession. Note: there will be no opportunities to change this Questionnaire once it is submitted.
- Must have portfolio items assembled but not necessarily finalized.

- 2:30–3:00 p.m.: Session break
- 3:00–4:30 p.m.: Presentation (Leading the Function, Managing Relationships) and questions
- 4:30–5:00 p.m.: Wrap up
Friday, Nov.8
- 12:30–1:00 p.m.: Welcome, intros, what to expect, studying by the numbers
- 1:00–2:30 p.m.: Presentation (Ethics/Law, Issues/Crisis) and questions
- 2:30–3:00 p.m.: Session break
- 3:00–4:30 p.m.: Presentation (Models/History) and questions
- 4:30–5:00 p.m.: Wrap up
