University of Oklahoma's Rachel Meltzer was elected as PRSSA National President.

The conference will be held in a virtual format from April 21-22, enabling healthcare public relations professionals from across the U.S. to explore lessons learned from the past year’s extraordinary circumstances and discuss best practices moving forward.

PRSA, the nation’s leading professional organization serving the communications community, announced today the finalists for the 2021 Silver Anvil Awards, which honor outstanding strategic public relations programs that meet the highest standards of performance in the profession. This year’s ceremony will be held as a virtual event on June 10 at 4:00 PM ET, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Tamar Gregorian, Ph.D., APR, was a member and leader at her PRSSA Chapter at Loyola University and will serve as Faculty Adviser to the Tulane University PRSSA Chapter.

The Asian American and Pacific Islander community is currently experiencing a strong wave of xenophobia, discrimination and assault. On March 16 (5:00-6:00 PM ET), PRSA and PRSSA will host a virtual panel to provide insight, guidance and share strategies on how communications professionals and college students can speak out and take action for themselves or on behalf of their organizations to bring awareness to the current situation.

Applications are now open for the 2022 PRSA Board of Directors, and will be accepted through Tuesday, May 25.
