San Sharma serves as the Manager of Public Relations at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, bringing extensive experience in strategic communications and advocacy.

A graduate of California State University, Sacramento, Sharma earned his degree in public relations with cum laude honors. His leadership in the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) culminated in his election as National President, making him the organization's first president from CSU Sacramento. His involvement at every level of PRSSA earned him the prestigious Gold Key Award. Currently, Sharma contributes his expertise as Senior Counsel on the PRSA National Board of Directors.

Before AFSP, Sharma was at EMC Communications, where he worked on multiple government relations campaigns. Sharma's diverse professional background includes significant roles at FINN Partners focusing on education and advocacy and at the California Department of Social Services handling communications for civil court cases. His experience spans government, education, and technology sectors.

Beyond his professional achievements, Sharma demonstrates a commitment to social causes through his two published books addressing social injustices and inequalities, with all proceeds donated to charity. He also contributed the preface to David Grossman's "Heart First for Emerging Leaders," further establishing his voice in the communications field.
