Milagros Orcoyen

Milagros Orcoyen, PRSSA 2024-2025 National President, is a senior at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, poised to graduate in December 2024 with a major in public relations and institutional communication.

Milagros' journey with PRSSA began during her freshman year, driven by a desire to gain preprofessional experience and connect with like-minded individuals. Little did she anticipate the profound impact PRSSA would have on her life!

As a first-year student, Milagros served as the events committee coordinator at her local Chapter as the conference coordinator for their first-ever District Conference.

Milagros had the honor to serve as the PRSSA National Vice President of Events and Fundraising for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 terms. In April 2023, she received The Elaine Averick Outstanding National Committee Member Award in recognition of her dedicated service to the National Committee and members of PRSSA.

As she embarks on her role as National President, Milagros is eager to continue fostering connections with members and Chapters across the globe, engaging in enriching dialogues, and helping them make things happen.

Beyond her PRSSA commitments, Milagros dedicates her time to making a difference in her community. She volunteers at GEO, the sustainable development center at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), and serves as a writer at The Jane Goodall Institute Argentina. Additionally, her involvement in the Professional Council for Public Relations of Argentina further reflects her commitment to advancing the field.

In her spare time, Milagros enjoys listening to podcasts, biking, and going for long walks.
