Vice President of Member Services

Emily Vazquez, Vice President of Member Services from 2024 to 2025, is a rising senior at California State University, Fullerton. She is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Chicana and Chicano Studies.

Her journey with PRSSA began during her first year at Cal State Fullerton, driven by her aspirations for professional and social growth within public relations. She assumed various roles within the Cal State Fullerton PRSSA chapter, including being a committee member for the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion and as an Account Coordinator for Titan Public Relations, the university’s PRSSA-affiliated Student-run Firm. Her journey extended to executive board
positions, serving as VP of Diversity and Inclusion for the 2022-2023 academic year and later as co-president for the 2023-2024 term.

Throughout her academic tenure, she has demonstrated a commitment to maximizing her educational experience in PR by developing a podcast addressing current PR topics and pop culture. Furthermore, she gained experience working with a client in the health and wellness sector, devising communication strategies to enhance membership engagement and foster brand visibility through strategic partnerships.

Beyond her academic and PRSSA commitments, she is deeply passionate about exploring and celebrating the rich Chicana/o culture of Southern California while actively contributing to its community. In her leisure time, she enjoys planning travel adventures, immersing herself in the excitement of March Madness or the Champions League, and attending concerts.

Eager to assume her new role, she looks forward to enhancing connectivity within the PR community, nationally and globally, by facilitating collaborative efforts and partnerships across Chapters.
